Understand the block-based theme-building workflow available through GP Premium and GenerateBlocks Pro.
GP Premium's theme-building features use Block Elements and display rules to place dynamic content in parts of the theme. GeneratePress also documents an advanced hook system for inserting content in theme hook locations.
Use the simplest layer that works
Prefer normal theme controls for global settings, reusable block patterns for repeated content, and Elements when you need conditional placement or custom theme sections. That keeps future maintenance easier to understand.
Keep the workflow maintainable
Use the smallest set of tools that reliably solves the problem. Define global typography, colors and spacing early; use reusable patterns for repeated structures; and document site-specific display rules or custom code.
Check the result, not just the setting
Review representative pages on mobile and desktop. A configuration is only useful when the navigation, content hierarchy, forms and important conversion paths remain easy to use.
