Installation checklist
- Back up an existing site or use staging.
- Install and activate the free GeneratePress theme from WordPress.
- If using GP Premium, install the Premium plugin supplied through your GeneratePress account.
- Activate only the features your build needs.
- Check navigation, templates, widgets, forms and mobile layouts before publishing changes.
Current official product snapshot: GeneratePress offers a free WordPress theme, GP Premium at $59/year, and GeneratePress One at $149/year. GeneratePress One currently includes GP Premium, GenerateBlocks Pro, GenerateCloud, 80+ starter sites, 200+ patterns, access to future products, and priority email support. Product terms and pricing can change, so verify the merchant page before purchasing.
Keep the workflow maintainable
Use the smallest set of tools that reliably solves the problem. Define global typography, colors and spacing early; use reusable patterns for repeated structures; and document site-specific display rules or custom code.
Check the result, not just the setting
Review representative pages on mobile and desktop. A configuration is only useful when the navigation, content hierarchy, forms and important conversion paths remain easy to use.
